Our viscose is made from sustainable wood pulp producing a natural fibre fabric that’s both breathable and biodegradable, with minimal impact on the environment. We get our OEKO-TEX® 100 certified viscose fabric fibres from Birla Cellulose who use a closed loop system and adhere to strict environmental policies. They only use carefully sourced pulp from FSC-certified forests where the trees are grown organically without pesticides. Growing trees also helps to improve soil quality, prevent soil erosion and retain water.
The closed-loop system reduces the amount of waste created in producing the fibres, and fabric manufacturing units have water treatment plants to purify the processing water before it’s released back into the environment.
We love viscose because, as well as being a biodegradable fibre, it drapes beautifully – making it the perfect addition to our collections.
